Unboxing: Seagate 6TB Hard Drives

September 15, 2014 by John P.

We just got three boxes from our friends at Seagate, and each one has 100TB worth of drives in them. These are the brand new 6TB drives and they’re headed for the 45 Drive Storinator in our data center. That means 270TB of space in a single chassis that we’ll use for video editing across our Geek House network. Kien Tran is going to love setting these all up!

+Geek Beat I have saw the video comparing drobo, qnap, and one another company(which I forgot the name) for NAS storage, so I like to know which company works best for small home storage where we will keep movies and photo/videos and access through wifi, etc..

Also I like to know your personal thoughts and model # fit my need.. if it is possible. .

    Thanks a lot..
