Google’s Waze Division has launched new versions of its social mapping mobile applications. Yesterday, it launched a new version of the Windows Phone App aimed at improving the app’s battery life considerably. Waze says is a major step forward in making the WP version more enjoyable.
Windows Phone wasn’t the only version of Waze to receive an update. The iPhone and Android versions were updated as well and with useful new features. Waze will now integrate with your Calendar. You’ll be able to navigate to your next Calendar event using Waze with just a single tap. Apps with location data will be automatically added to the app and will show up two at a time. Users who do not want the integration can unlink it using the Advanced settings in Android and with iOS under the privacy settings.
The apps roll out today. The Android version is now available with iOS coming soon after.

Good news in the app store today! Waze has released a new version for Android (iPhone to follow soon)!
This version features integration with your Calendar, allowing you to navigate to Calendar events with just one tap.
Events with location info will automatically appear in your navigation list, two events featured at a time.
Simply tap to activate the integration.
If you’d like to disable the feature simply go to Settings > Advanced
