I’m sure you all know how to read a watch. That’s a good thing, because the Kisai Kaidoku watch will put your literacy skills to the test. You’ll be spending a few extra mental processing cycles getting the time, but you can rest assured, no one will be subtly glancing at your watch and coming away with anything they can use.
The watch displays the numbers one through twelve (in English words) on its face, along with “AM” and “PM”. The pertinent words flash on the display, and the wearer reads them to get the time. So, If “EIGHT”, “THREE”, “SEVEN”, and “PM” are flashing, it’s 8:37 PM. The watch was submitted by 15-year-old Tynan Mayhew, a fan of the Tokyoflash Design Studio Blog. The design was voted on by other fans, and the watch has become a reality. It’s available in black, with a blue display, and black leather strap, or silver, with a purple, green, or blue display, and a white leather strap. It’s priced at $139 USD, and is available now.
