Do you have a sports fan on your holiday list who could use a little tech help sharpening up their performance? If so, Zepp Labs would like to introduce you to their newest line of sports swing sensors. These sensors attach to your bat, glove, or racket and deliver motion information to your iPhone, iPad, or Android device with all sorts of analysis to help you become a better player.
With Zepp Baseball, you attach the sensor to the bottom of the bat, and it captures information about your swing. On your phone or tablet, you can review data about your swing speed, how long your bat stayed in the hitting zone and the angle it traveled through the zone, as well as a 360-degree replay of your swing. It will also give you detailed analysis, and track technique performance over time.
The Zepp Golf sensor attaches to your glove, and captures the same 360-degree view of your swing, with golf specific data such as, club speed and tempo, angle of club shaft, hip rotation and swing score. It can even compare your swing to that of a PGA coach.
With the Zepp Tennis sensor attached to the handle of your racket, you’ll be capturing data on the percentage of forehand and backhands swings you favor, how many topspin, slice and flat shots you hit, and how much power you bring to each stroke.
All three sensors connect to your device via Bluetooth, and weigh 6.3 grams, so you’ll never notice it’s there. Each sensor is available starting today at the Zepp website and beginning November 19th they will be available in Apple store. Select Verizon stores will carry the sensor starting November 21st. Each sensor is priced at $149.99.
